In Monday's non-league test, the DeLaSalle Islanders (Minneapolis, MN) softball squad got by the visiting Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN), by a count of 6-5.

Next, the Islanders meet the Visitation Blazers (Mendota Heights, MN) in a Tri-Metro game, on Wednesday, May 7. DeLaSalle will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Blazers enter the game with a 8-1 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Kennedy (Bloomington, MN).

The Spartans now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson for a Metro West game on Tuesday, May 6. Orono will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 13-2 league win over St. Louis Park (St. Louis Park, MN). The Jaguars record now stands at 12-1.
