Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), 13-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Leavitt improves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to Lake Region (Naples, ME) to play the Lakers in a Class B South game on Wednesday, May 7. The Lakers enter the game with a record of 2-2. Lake Region won 10-2 in their recent league game against Poland (Poland, ME)

The Patriots now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Wells for a non-league game on Friday, May 9. Gray-New Gloucester will play a Warriors squad coming off a 13-11 non-league loss to St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
