Pennsylvania High School Softball - Lakeland succumbs to Riverside

May 5, 2025: Jermyn, PA 18433

In Monday's league test, the Riverside Vikings (Taylor, PA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA), by a tally of 13-5.

Next, the Vikings meet the Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 test, on Wednesday, May 7. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 16-1 record after their 15-0 league win over Lakeland (Jermyn, PA).

The Chiefs (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Old Forge (Old Forge, PA). The Blue Devils enter the Lackawanna 3 challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Old Forge overcame Honesdale (Honesdale, PA), 18-3, in a league challenge.
