The Marengo Indians triumphed over the host Plano Reapers softball squad by a count of 17-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians play the Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL) in a Kishwaukee River challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Marengo will attempt to upgrade on its 20-7 season record. The Skyhawks enter the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 5-2 league loss to Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL).

The Reapers (6-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodstock (Woodstock, IL). The Blue Streaks enter the Kishwaukee River challenge with a 3-16 record. In their last challenge, Woodstock was routed by Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL), 8-0, in a league challenge.
