Illinois High School Softball - Pekin succumbs to Washington

May 5, 2026: Pekin, IL 61554

In Tuesday's league test, the Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL), by a tally of 9-1.

Next, the Panthers meet the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) in a Mid-Illini test, on Thursday, May 7. Washington will attempt to advance on its 18-5 season record. The Rockets go into the test with a 3-19 record after their 14-4 league loss to Dunlap (Dunlap, IL).

The Dragons (16-9) will now prepare for their test against Morton (Morton, IL). The Potters go into the Mid-Illini test with a 7-12 record. In their last test, Morton was routed by Metamora (Metamora, IL), 17-1, in a league test.
