The St. Stephens Indians got by the host South Caldwell Spartans baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Thursday's league bout.
The Indians now possess a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hickory for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, May 11. St. Stephens will face a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 8-7 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 2-2.
Next, the Spartans face the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout, on Tuesday, May 11. South Caldwell will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 8-7 league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC).
