Desert Scorpions (Edwards AFB, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mammoth Huskies (Mammoth Lakes, CA), 15-2 in a league challenge.

The Scorpions now own a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they host Rosamond for a High Desert challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Desert will battle a Roadrunners squad coming off a 14-11 league win over Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, CA). The Roadrunners record now stands at 9-16.

With the loss, Mammoth falls to 1-17 on the campaign. The Huskies host Frazier Mountain (Lebec, CA) to battle the Falcons in a High Desert challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 2-11. Frazier Mountain 0-0 in their recent league challenge against Boron (Boron, CA)
