In Friday's league challenge, the host Shepaug Valley Spartans softball squad scored a good 17-0 win over the Gilbert Yellowjackets.
The Spartans now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Thomaston for a Berkshire challenge on Monday, May 9.
With the loss, Gilbert falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Terryville (Terryville, CT) to face the Kangaroos in a Berkshire challenge on Wednesday, May 11. The Kangaroos enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
