River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Thurston Rams (Lacey, WA), 15-9 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Kitsap for a 3A South Sound challenge on Monday, May 9. River Ridge will face a Cougars squad coming off a 9-5 league loss to Yelm (Yelm, WA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-14.

With the loss, North Thurston falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA) to face the Seahawks in a 3A South Sound challenge on Monday, May 9. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a record of 14-1. Peninsula won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Central Kitsap (Silverdale, WA)
