Spectators at Saturday's league battle between the Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO) and the host Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO), saw Bayfield's baseball squad knock off Pagosa Springs by a count of 13-1.

Coming up next, the Wolverines play the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO) in a 3A/2A Intermountain battle, on Saturday, May 13. Bayfield will attempt to move on its 15-3 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 17-3 record after their 9-0 league win over Centauri (La Jara, CO).
