The Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team (Spring Valley, CA), was dropped 3-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA)

The Cougars (16-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Foothills Christian (El Cajon, CA). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 20-15 record. In their last bout, Foothills Christian notched a victory over Southwest EC (El Centro, CA), 3-0, in a non-league bout.

The Monarchs now own a 15-17 record.
