In Saturday's non-league test, the host Sparta Spartans lacrosse squad scored a good 17-5 victory over the Vernon Vikings.

The Spartans now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Hunterdon for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 9.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ) in a Colonial North test, on Monday, May 8. Vernon will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record.
