Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA), 13-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Flying Flucos now sport a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Albemarle for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. Fluvanna County will face a Warriors squad coming off a 17-7 non-league loss to Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Broadway falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Gobblers travel to Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 3-13. Rockbridge County lost 16-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA)
