Shenendehowa Plainsmen (Clifton Park, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Baldwinsville Bees (Baldwinsville, NY), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Plainsmen now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bethlehem Central for a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge on Monday, May 8. Shenendehowa will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 5-3 league win over Columbia (East Greenbush, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Baldwinsville falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Bees travel to Cicero-North Syracuse (Cicero, NY) to battle the Northstars in a Section 3 Central Counties - National challenge on Tuesday, May 9. The Northstars enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Cicero-North Syracuse lost 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY)
