Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Perry Commodores (Lima, OH) and the visiting Cory-Rawson Hornets (Rawson, OH), witnessed Perry's softball squad prevail over Cory-Rawson by a count of 11-2.

The Commodores now sport a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Ridgedale for a Northwest Central match on Wednesday, May 10. Perry will face a Rockets squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Cory-Rawson moves to 2-11 on the season. The Hornets travel to Van Buren (Van Buren, OH) to face the Black Knights in a Blanchard Valley match on Tuesday, May 9. The Black Knights go into the match with a record of 12-1. Van Buren won 21-8 in their recent non-league match against Elmwood (Bloomdale, OH)
