The Huntington North Vikings softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Elkhart Lions to 5 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Huntington North moves its record to 14-2 on the year. The Vikings host Leo (Leo, IN) to clash with the Lions in a Northeast Eight game on Monday, May 8. The Lions come into the game with a record of 18-0. Leo won 13-0 in their recent league game against East Noble (Kendallville, IN)

In their next game, the Lions clash with the South Bend Riley Wildcats (South Bend, IN) in a Northern Indiana game, on Monday, May 8. Elkhart will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 11-7 record after their 12-7 non-league win over Peru (Peru, IN).
