Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Friars now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they host Trinity for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. Fenwick will battle a Blazers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL). The Blazers record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Elmwood Park falls to 14-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL) to battle the Trojans in a Metro Suburban challenge on Monday, May 8. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Timothy Christian lost 9-7 in their recent league challenge against Rosary (Aurora, IL)
