Michigan High School Softball - Ishpeming felled by Kalkaska

In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Kalkaska Blazers softball team scored a nice 15-6 win over the Ishpeming Hematites.

Coming up next, the Blazers encounter the Boyne City Ramblers (Boyne City, MI) in a Lake Michigan outing, on Monday, May 8. Kalkaska will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Ramblers enter the outing with a 1-5 record after their 7-6 league win over Elk Rapids (Elk Rapids, MI).

The Hematites (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI). The Modeltowners enter the Mid-Peninsula outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Gwinn was routed by Niagara (Niagara, WI), 11-3, in a non-league outing.
