Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) fans exited the stadium satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their softball squad prevail over the visiting Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL), 15-3 in a non-league match.

The Wildcats now sport a 9-13 record. They play next when they host Peotone for a Illinois Central Eight match on Tuesday, May 9. Wilmington will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Beecher (Beecher, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Rich Township moves to 7-13 on the season. The Raptors travel to Thornridge (Dolton, IL) to face the Falcons in a Southland Athletic match on Monday, May 8. The Falcons go into the match with a record of 0-11. Thornridge lost 18-1 in their recent league match against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL)
