Next, the Cardinals confront the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) in a Northwest 1A challenge, on Tuesday, May 7. East Wilkes will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Buckin' Elks enter the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Starmount (Boonville, NC).

The Sauras now have a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they host Mount Airy for a Northwest 1A challenge on Tuesday, May 7. South Stokes will confront a Granite Bears team coming off a 9-0 league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 12-4.
