Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cyclones confront the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 9. Denver will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record.

The Sailors now have a 1-18 record. They take the field next when they host Hudson for a North Iowa Cedar League challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Columbus will confront a Pirates team coming off a 3-2 league win over Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA). The Pirates record now stands at 18-5.
