Iroquois Redhawks (Elma, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alden Bulldogs (Alden, NY), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Redhawks now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Depew for a Section 6 Erie County IV challenge on Friday, May 10. Iroquois will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over East Aurora (East Aurora, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Alden falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host City Honors (Buffalo, NY) to face the Centaurs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Centaurs enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. City Honors lost 11-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Hamburg (Hamburg, NY)
