Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights (St. Louis Park, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Visitation Blazers (Mendota Heights, MN), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Knights now own a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson for a Metro West challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Benilde-St. Margaret's will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Orono (Long Lake, MN). The Jaguars record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Visitation falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Blazers host Kennedy (Bloomington, MN) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Kennedy lost 16-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, MN)
