The Bergen Tech Knights (Hackensack, NJ) softball nipped the host Clifton Mustangs (Clifton, NJ), 5-4 in Monday's league bout.

The Knights (13-6) will now prepare for their bout against Ridgewood (Ridgewood, NJ). The Maroons go into the non-league bout with a 14-5 record. In their last bout, Ridgewood was edged by Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ), 3-1, in a league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Wayne Valley for a non-league bout on Wednesday, May 8.
