Brandon/Evansville Chargers (Brandon, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hancock Owls (Hancock, MN), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rothsay for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. Brandon/Evansville will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 16-9 non-league loss to Ada-Borup (Ada, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Hancock falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Owls host Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (Wheaton, MN) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Wheaton/Herman-Norcross lost 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley (Graceville, MN)
