Stevenson Spartans (Livonia, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Churchill Chargers (Livonia, MI), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they host Detroit International Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7.

With the loss, Churchill falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Dearborn (Dearborn, MI) to face the Pioneers in a Kensington Lakes - East challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 6-14. Dearborn lost 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Inter-City Baptist (Allen Park, MI)
