Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now sport a 21-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Genoa-Kingston for a Big Northern challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Stillman Valley will face a Cogs squad coming off a 21-13 league win over Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Cogs record now stands at 15-10.

With the loss, Dixon falls to 8-17 on the campaign. The Dukes & duchesses host Winnebago (Winnebago, IL) to face the Indians in a Big Northern challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 8-13. Winnebago won 13-4 in their recent league challenge against Byron (Byron, IL)
