Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL), 11-7 in a league challenge.

The Maple Leafs now own a 17-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rock Island for a Western Big 6 challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Geneseo will face a Rocks squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Minooka (Minooka, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, Quincy falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Blue devils host East Moline United (East Moline, IL) to face the Panthers in a Western Big 6 challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 14-8. East Moline United lost 4-0 in their recent league challenge against Sterling (Sterling, IL)
