The Poultney Blue Devils routed the host Leland & Gray Rebels softball squad by a count of 16-8 in Monday's league battle.
The Blue Devils (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Proctor (Proctor, VT). The Phantoms go into the non-league battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Proctor topped Twin Valley (Wilmington, VT), 20-4, in a league battle.
The Rebels now sport a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to White River Valley for a SVL C battle on Thursday, May 9. Leland & Gray will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-5 non-league loss to Otter Valley (Brandon, VT). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
