The Lockwood Tigers nipped the visiting Miller Cardinals softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Monday's league battle.
The Tigers (13-11) will now prepare for their battle against Liberal (Liberal, MO). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 18-5 record. In their last battle, Liberal held off Jasper (Jasper, MO), 11-4, in a non-league battle.
The Cardinals now possess a 20-7 record. They play next when they host Rich Hill for a Class 1 District 6 battle on Monday, May 6.
