The Newark Yellowjackets routed the host McKean Highlanders softball squad by a count of 23-7 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Yellowjackets (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against First State Military Academy (Clayton, DE). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 4-7 record.
The Highlanders now sport a 2-11 record. They play next when they travel to MOT Charter for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 7. McKean will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Delaware Military Academy (Wilmington, DE). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-7.
