New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hill-McCloy Rams (Montrose, MI), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they host Hill-McCloy for a Mid-Michigan challenge on Monday, May 6. New Lothrop will face a Rams squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Birch Run (Birch Run, MI). The Rams record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Hill-McCloy falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Rams travel to New Lothrop (New Lothrop, MI) to face the Hornets in a Mid-Michigan challenge on Monday, May 6.
