The crowd at Monday's league match between the South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) and the host West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL), saw South Elgin's softball squad nip West Chicago by a count of 2-0.

The Storm now sport a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they host Glenbard South for a Upstate Eight match on Thursday, May 9. South Elgin will face a Raiders squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Larkin (Elgin, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 9-16.

With the loss, West Chicago falls to 14-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Glenbard East (Lombard, IL) to face the Rams in a Upstate Eight match on Tuesday, May 7. The Rams enter the match with a record of 16-6. Glenbard East won 12-5 in their recent league match against Fenton (Bensenville, IL)
