West Virginia High School Baseball - Winfield holds off Buffalo

May 6, 2025: Buffalo, WV 25033

The Winfield Generals baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Buffalo Bison to 2 in the Generals non-league win on Tuesday.

The Generals now hold a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntington for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 7. Winfield will play a Highlanders team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Hurricane (Hurricane, WV). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-14.

With the defeat, Buffalo drops to 13-11 on the year. The Bison host Wayne (Wayne, WV) to play the Pioneers in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 7. The Pioneers go into the test with a record of 4-19. Wayne lost 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Lawrence County (Louisa, KY)
