The Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) baseball trounced the visiting Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 12-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Pioneers now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Giles for a Mountain Empire challenge on Friday, May 9. Fort Chiswell will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 4-3 league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-11.
With the defeat, Galax drops to 1-13 on the year. The Maroon tide host Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to clash with the Bears in a Mountain Empire challenge on Friday, May 9. The Bears go into the challenge with a record of 2-14.
