California High School Baseball - Santa Clara holds off Fremont

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) and the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), saw Santa Clara's baseball team gain a win over Fremont by a tally of 5-1.

The Bruins (22-3) will now prepare for their battle against Saratoga (Saratoga, CA). The Falcons enter the El Camino battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Saratoga was overwhelmed by Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA), 5-3, in a league battle.

Next, the Firebirds face the Cupertino Pioneers (Cupertino, CA) in a El Camino battle, on Thursday, May 8. Fremont will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 12-10 record after their 14-2 league win over MacDonald (San Jose, CA).
