Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), 7-2 in a league test.

With the triumph, Monticello advances its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA) to clash with the Black Knights in a Jefferson test on Thursday, May 8. The Black Knights come into the test with a record of 6-5. Charlottesville won 3-0 in their recent league test against Goochland (Goochland, VA)

The Lions now have a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Orange County for a Jefferson test on Thursday, May 8. Louisa County will clash with a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 1-1 league Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 8-3.
