Virginia High School Softball - Franklin County can't get by Staunton River

The Staunton River Golden Eagles edged the host Franklin County Eagles softball squad by a count of 11-10 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Eagles meet the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 8. Staunton River will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 16-3 non-league loss to William Byrd (Vinton, VA).

The Eagles (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Salem (Salem, VA). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Salem edged Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA), 1-0, in a non-league challenge.
