The William Byrd Terriers triumphed over the visiting Lord Botetourt Cavaliers softball squad by a count of 16-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Terriers meet the Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 8. William Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Blue Demons enter the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 20-11 non-league loss to Abingdon (Abingdon, VA).
The Cavaliers (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Staunton River overcame Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 11-10, in a non-league challenge.
