In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots lacrosse squad scored a good 15-2 triumph over the Powhatan Indians.

The Patriots (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA). The Mustangs go into the Capital challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Mechanicsville was overwhelmed by Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA), 19-3, in a league challenge.

Next, the Indians clash with the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 9. Powhatan will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Fighting Hornets go into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 17-4 league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA).
