In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Pope John XXIII lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-6 win over the Sparta Spartans.
The (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 10-3 record.
Next, the Spartans meet the Randolph Rams (Randolph, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, May 13. Sparta will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Rams enter the contest with a 1-9 record after their 12-4 non-league loss to Jefferson Township (Oak Ridge, NJ).
