In Tuesday's non-league test, the Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA) softball squad the visiting Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR), by a tally of 8-5.

Next, the Bears clash with the Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA) in a Shasta Cascade test, on Friday, May 9. Mt. Shasta will attempt to advance on its 10-11 season record. The Wolves go into the test with a 14-10 record after their 14-1 non-league win over Hayfork (Hayfork, CA).

The Grizzlies (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Crater (Central Point, OR). The Comets go into the 5A Midwestern test with a 12-8 record. In their last test, Crater held off Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR), 10-0, in a league test.
