With the triumph, California School for the Deaf upgrades its record to 20-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Head-Royce (Oakland, CA) to battle the Jayhawks in a Bay Counties - East bout on Wednesday, May 7. The Jayhawks go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Head-Royce won 14-2 in their recent league bout against Lick-Wilmerding (San Francisco, CA)

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Redwood Christian Eagles (San Lorenzo, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 8. University will attempt to advance on its 6-14 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 13-0 league loss to St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA).
