California High School Softball - CORE Butte held off by Princeton

The Princeton Eagles got by the visiting CORE Butte Lynx softball squad by a count of 9-8 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Chester Volcanoes (Chester, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 8. Princeton will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Volcanoes go into the challenge with a 15-9 record after their 21-3 non-league win over Plumas Charter (Greenville, CA).

The Lynx (7-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Redding Christian (Palo Cedro, CA). The Lions go into the Five Star challenge with a 1-15 record. In their last challenge, Redding Christian was nudged by Burney (Burney, CA), 16-0, in a league challenge.
