The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Hayward Hurricanes (Hayward, WI) and the host Cumberland Beavers (Cumberland, WI), observed Hayward's softball team get by Cumberland by a tally of 4-0.

The Hurricanes (9-6) will now prepare for their bout against Ashland (Ashland, WI). The Oredockers go into the Lake Superior bout with a 0-7 record. In their last bout, Ashland was routed by Barron (Barron, WI), 6-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Beavers clash with the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs (Chetek, WI) in a Heart O'North bout, on Thursday, May 8. Cumberland will attempt to advance on its 8-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 14-3 league loss to Cameron (Cameron, WI).
