Illinois High School Softball - Manteno edges Herscher

May 6, 2025: Herscher, IL 60941

In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Manteno Panthers softball team scored a tight 12-10 win over the Herscher Tigers.

The Panthers (16-4) will now prepare for their match against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league match with a 16-9 record. In their last match, Joliet Catholic nipped Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL), 4-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 9. Herscher will attempt to better on its 14-11 season record. The Trojans come into the match with a 6-13 record after their 9-6 league win over Midland (Varna, IL).
