The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) and the host New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL), observed Maine South's softball team get by New Trier by a tally of 9-2.

The Hawks (7-8) will now prepare for their bout against Evanston (Evanston, IL). The Wildkits go into the Central Suburban - South bout with a 3-14 record. In their last bout, Evanston was routed by Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL), 9-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Trevians clash with the Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL) in a Central Suburban - South bout, on Thursday, May 8. New Trier will attempt to advance on its 11-4 season record. The Giants go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 3-2 league win over Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL).
