The Salida Spartans the host Florence Huskies baseball team by a count of 13-8 in Friday's league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Alamosa for a non-league bout on Friday, May 14. Salida will face a Mean Moose team coming off a 8-6 non-league win over La Junta (La Junta, CO). The Mean Moose record now stands at 2-2.
