In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), by a final score of 12-2.
With the win, Carlsbad upgrades its record to 24-4 on the season. The Cavemen travel to Farmington (Farmington, NM) to encounter the Scorpions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a record of 20-7. Farmington won 18-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM)
With the defeat, Eldorado falls to 11-15 on the season.
