The Carterville Lions softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Hamilton County Foxes to 2 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Carterville improves its record to 26-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Goreville (Goreville, IL) to clash with the Blackcats in a non-league game on Monday, May 9. The Blackcats come into the game with a record of 8-13.
